High phosphate levels in a reef aquarium cripple coral growth and fuel algae. Simplicity GFO (granular ferric oxide) adsorbs these phosphates from the aquarium rendering them harmless leading to improved coral health, coloration and reduced algae growth. Works best when used in a media reactor with a gentle tumble. It can also be used in a media bag placed in a high flow area like the sump.
